Bisexual Sadness by India Kotis
Trinity Street Playhouse
Austin, TX 78701
How to get there
The title is a joke. It's also completely true.
Jarrott Productions brings Austin the Southwest regional premiere, and only the second production anywhere, of this comedy from L.A. playwright India Kotis.
Faye is about to marry the man she loves. The catch? Part of her wishes he were a woman, because marrying him means fighting to keep her place in the queer community she calls home. The play is a warm, messy, genuinely funny interrogation of identity, belonging, and love. What happens to who you are when who you love changes how people see you?
Directed by Will Gibson Douglas
